this a good time of year for bern

* this wkend jiff and i are doing our 4th annual
"tentropolis civilized camping weekend" on lake huron
camp fires and magnificent sunsets
too strong coffee, coleman stove eggs
peanut butter and bacon on english toast [try it]
flame charred steaks by moonlight
(this year i have my new coleman lantern)
and a cool-ass pub in town for an afternoon barstool sit

* later in september, the 2nd annual "camping n' fishing"
with danny boy, father mcCree and youngblood
hanging with my brothers and my daughter's man
around a campfire is friggin cool
...its a peaceful easy feeling
if we (and me if im not too hungover) catch some fish ...cool
if we don't, we have steaks and vino rougio as a back up
[last year yungblut [ww ash] caught the only fish]

my bros and i grew up in an oppressively tense atmosphere
so chilling and laughing is our just comeuppance

*and of course the onset of fall, my fave season
cool crisp evenings
brisk autumn winds
rustling leaves
albiet the bummer is, the ladies their change wardrobe


AND specifically this autumn 2009

* my ash and paul move into their 1st home
ash is just shy of 25
[when i was just shy of 24
we (bern and trace) moved into our 1st home
and ash was born when i was just shy of 25]
huh

* my sister and her family are moving back to ontari-ari-ario
the 3 peas that are my bros and i are quite excited
that the 4th pea, michelle, is coming back to our pod

* shortly after as my ash turns 25, bern hits the 5-oh!
ive never put much stock in b-days, especially mine
but 50 sure is a good age on which to hang a hat
and as it pertains to tattooed ttt
25 is half of 50 and both are life milestones
